Used 2020 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale near New Mexico

How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 15.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,596 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, smooth ride, and powerful performance, and many also like its comfort and handling in challenging weather. That lines up well with its family-focused mission and roomy, easy-to-live-with cabin. With 32.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a value-oriented listing.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for comfort, smooth driving, and confidence in varied weather. Some shoppers do mention concerns about price and potential body damage, so a careful inspection still matters. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about day-to-day livability and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been well cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Traverse?

At 65.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing photos or description suggest cosmetic issues or repair work. Focus on overall condition, because a roomy family SUV like this can hide wear that matters more than the headline features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,596 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.25% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,895, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $18,895 sits slightly below last year's $22,295.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to resell later, the softer current pricing may limit near-term appreciation, but it can also make the vehicle easier to move if you buy well. Strong demand from family-focused shoppers can still support resale, especially for clean, well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $20,985, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,895 average.
• It adds a wider trim lineup and updated connectivity.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want the better value and are willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer model-year option, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
