I will ask I’m taking the truck tomorrow. I guest not stop dealer the truck only has 65,000 miles purchased brand new

Thank You, I’m going to suggest the bearings to him. I’m driving now and its ringing low pressure.i have 88 % oil life in the truck

No I don’t. This was happening before that’s why I had to have everything changed. He didn’t change the gauge. I hope it’s the bearing and it’s not expensive

Had similar issue on my 07, it ended up being a corroded connection somewhere along the wiring going to the oil pressure switch. Couldn’t tell you exactly where...didn’t ask much questions as my Mecanic didn’t charge me for it.

I agree. This sounds like an electrical problem of some sort. Bad wire, bad sending unit, a sensor of some sort. If you've replaced the oil pump 3 times, (and why on earth would you do that??) and if the engine isn't clattering, then you know its definitely not the oil pump and the engine has adequate oiling going on to run safely. Find a shop that specializes in tracking down electrical issues and I'm pretty sure your troubles will be over.

Good afternoon, I didn’t change the pump 3x I changed the sensor 3x no charge. My cousin recommend a electrician. I took the truck Saturday back to my mechanic he told me to bring it back Tuesday so he can go threw everything again. So far the low pressure light and noise did not come on.

I'm glad to hear the repeated parts replacements didn't come out of your pocket. Sounds like your guy might have got it fixed. Yes, hiring a professional is expensive, but often a few dollars spent on professional help saves hundreds over trial and error attempts by people who are just guessing at the problem. Hope you're truck is fixed now.

No not fixed took it the the electrical guy he kept it over night and said I need a motor charged me 100.00 And suggested A company To me for a new motor. My mechanic said I don’t need a motor. But now the dinging noise from the low pressure is on all the time before it was when I stopped at lights or slow traffic it would stop when I step on the gas.

The electrician told me he could get me a deal on a re-built engine might get 7-10 yrs out of it. but I’m not sure about that. I was told to get a second opinion. Only 68,582 miles on the truck GMC/CHEVY NO MORE

I agree. If the truck is in good shape, which it should be with low mileage like that its totally worth putting in an engine. If you're not keeping it long a used one will be fine. If its a long term driver for you then a rebuilt or crate engine would be worth while. Don't dump too hard on GM. These trucks routinely go 150,000 - 200,000 miles with very little problem. Unfortunately you got a bad one. I say fix and enjoy. They're great trucks.

Ouch! Well I understand your sentiment after having bad luck with two GMs. I've had lots of them with a bunch of different engines and except for two, (and one of them was my fault, not GM's) I've routinely put 150,000 miles and over on all of them. Whatever you decide to do I hope this one ends up better for you.
