choke butterfly closing up ? Needle valve adjustment in carb ? Octane booster for the gas tank ?

Check your ignition timing and vacuum advance for correct operation. Retarded (late) ignition timing or valve timing will cause lack of power and the engine will run hot too. Remove the spark plugs. If the tips are white, it's running too lean. Another cause of lack of power. Jim
