What speed? Could be worn tires, alignment, wheel bearing, CV joint.

cv boot is cracked. im hearing replacing the axle that comes with the cv boot and not just replacing the cv boot. tires look good or could be wheel bearing. thanks

Ok, if the boot is cracked, then dirt and water enters the joint and grease comes out. The joint gets worn and makes noise. So yes, you will have to replace the whole axle if that is making the noise. That's why it's advisable to replace the boot as soon as it is detected.
