If you stay below a 1996 it would almost a direct replacement, but if you get above that year you will start having to do a lot of transferring of engine components, ie manifolds, engine sensors etc.

it will fit, but the 1992 and later are magnum engines, the 1991 is still the LA style. 92-95 have egr, 96 and up do not.
