My identity fob broke into pieces. Can I start the car without using the fob at all?

If you do not have another fob, you have a problem. The security works off electronics which disables the PCM from allowing the vehicle to start if the security is not disabled. If you get a locksmith to unlock the door to enter, cycling the lock/unlock a few times to unlock should allow the vehicle to start, hopefully.
