My girlfriend has a 2003 Dodge Stratus & the running lights stay on after we stop the car. What's causing this?

Actually I guess they're the daylights. The headlights come on automatically when you crank it & are supposed to shut off when you shut off the car. The past week the lights don't shut off like they should and we have to toggle the ignition to get 'em to go off. Thanks!

When mine does that i turn the light knob off, back on, and off again. When I switch them off manually like that they shut off. Let me know if that helps you.
