Reviews

For 2005, the biggest change in the Dodge Stratus comes from the new Coupe versions of the SXT and R/T trims. In addition, Dodge offers a new sport appearance package that makes the SXT look a little more like the sportier R/T. The Stratus offers a choice between inline-4 and V6 powertrains. Gas mileage averages out to 22 mpg in the city and 30 on the highway, with the SXT Coupe giving you the best performance. Coupes have two doors and seat 5, while sedans have four doors and seat 5. The R/T offers a lot more standard features than the lower-grade SXT. Overall, critics like the Stratus' low price and big trunk. Otherwise, the midsize sedan looks like it's getting a little long in the tooth. The powertrains simply don't measure up, and other features have remained stagnant. Look for the Stratus to have one last go-round in 2006 and then ride off into the sunset.

This vehicle has been very reliable & has made it through several long road trips. I have been very pleased with the ride, the ease of driving and the sharp, sporty style. It is a favorite of the vehicles I have owned.

The car rides comfortably with great handeling. It has enough power to get up and go but not be dangerous. The gas milage is awesome at 24 in town and 32 highway. This is a very fun car to drive and ride in. Comfortable for 4 people and could hold a 5th. GREAT car

Brakes are more sensitive than I would like. I like the styling of it, but I do not like the wheel rim covers. I need custom rims and tinted windows. I have yet to have any problems with this car

I have only had to do normal maintenance on this car. No major repairs. My only complaint is that I wish the cup holders were more conveniently placed and that there was a light in the cigarette lighter/power source area.

This model can use a bit more horsepower for better acceleration but the handling is responsive and well built. If you want a faster sportier version go for the R/T. Still a nice car to drive around. Not very expensive to maintain just the usual oil change and tires. Gas mileage is pretty good, about 30 mpg on highway depending on how you drive it. This is the 2.7L not the 2.4L.
