89 Chevy 2 wheel drive truck, replaced trans, worked after, now won't move?

1989 Chevrolet 2 wheel drive truck, replaced transmission, worked afterwards
but, skipped gears, in between 20ish mph to 50ish mph. First time replacing a
transmission, filter was replaced/fluid good. Now, nothing...truck is sitting in
driveway, won't even go in reverse
