2006 Dodge Caravan fuel pump not making any noise when key is turned.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Wife ran the 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan out of fuel and it has not restarted since. I do not hear the fuel pump going when I turn the key on. I have replaced the fuel, Checked the fuses, Tapped tank with rubber mallet and disconnected the battery. Is there anything else I should check before I drop the tank and replace fuel pump ? The engine will run if I spray starting fluid in it but dies as soon as I stop.

If you can get to pump wires on tank you can see if you have power going to pump. If you do time to drop tank.
