Is a 1995-1999 Chrysler Sebring Convertible a good buy,
What shoud I pay for a 1995- 1998 Chrysler Sebring Convertible? What should I look for in mileage and price?
I paid $1700 for my 1997 Sebring JXI with 138,000 miles blue book was calling for private sale of 3800:
You will want to find out what engine is in it, and if possible, what maintenance has been done as well. I don't recall if the 2.7L was installed back then (I believe back then the 6-cylinder was a 2.5L) but that engine has particular issues you'll want to watch out for, related to oil change frequency, etc.
Sebring convertible 95-00 is offered in 4 trim levels sebring plain jane the second is jx,one step up,the silver package includes everything less keyless entry, some did though, teir 3 is the gold package its add ons are keyless entry, all but,the base models are v-6 the car is only offered as automatic, premium sound,(infinity) alloy wheels, leather interior,6disc cd changer.and then the limited has all the premium features
See my reveiw in my garage on here.would i recommend it yes i would ive owned all trims less the limited. Decent mileage good looks.and lots of power
Excellent car! Do Not Get The Gen 2! It will have a 2.7L sludge motor. Total junk that Chrysler has pretended never existed. But yea, the gen 1(1996-2000) covertibleJXi, with the 2.5L will run for a very, very long time. And these cars look sweet! Def buy one if you can find it in decent shape.
