Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2002 Cadillac Deville Car has power but will not crank. I replaced the Starter
relay and still wont start. I ordered the starter and am going to replace, but I'm
wondering what other diagnose steps to take before I proceed replacing the
starter. I do hear a clicking sound when I try to start it?

If the clicking sound is coming from under the intake manifold then most likely the starter is fried, pain in the rear Northstar engines. Once you get there make absolutely sure the starter positive cable is in excellent shape, if there is any doubt replace it or you could be right back in there replacing it.
