I have a 2002 ford explorer that will not go in reverse or drive...checked the fluids and battery..all good. If i turn it off and on it will work but if i try and go from reverse to drive....restart
Get the codes checked, it could be solenoid failure but it could also be the TCM.
There where no codes that came up....what solenoid would i check
They are inside the tranny, sometimes they get sticky especially if it tranny has not been serviced properly, as they were no codes you may need to have it live data scanned to see if the solenoids are actually getting a signal from the control unit.
