I agree with joemom that a semisynthetic blend would be best for the vehicle. Either 10-40 or 20-50 would work just fine. The filter brand is pretty much a toss-up as long as it meets the car's requirements.

Mercedes likes to advertise Mobil 1, however, any good quality full synthetic oil will work just fine. You only need to go to a synthetic blend if you have high mileage and/or the full synthetic is burning thru.
