The 2009 Chevrolet Colorado LT2 Crew Cab trim, labeled the Z71 Crew Cab by Chevy/GM, is distinguishable from the LT1 Crew Cab trim mainly by its standard 3.7-liter inline five-cylinder engine (I5) and four-speed automatic transmission. This combo puts out 242 hp and 242 lb-ft of torque to the tune of an EPA-estimated 17/23 mpg. The ’09 Colorado LT2 Crew Cab is rated to tow up to 6,000 pounds when properly equipped. Additionally, a 300-hp, 5.3-liter V8 engine that, in combination with the four-speed automatic, throws out 320 lb-ft of torque is an option with each of the ’09 Colorado LT2 trims.
The ’09 Chevy Colorado LT2 Crew Cab is a rear-wheel-drive-only (RWD) four-door, six-passenger pickup with a 5-foot bed, capable of some 1,168 pounds of payload. Additional standard comfort, convenience, performance, and appearance features include a sport-tuned suspension, power windows, doors, and mirrors, a sliding rear window, auto-dimming rearview mirror with a compass and outside temperature display, 17-inch chrome-clad wheels, and large, body-color wheel flares. Options include a power sunroof, 18-inch wheels, and heated front bucket seats. Four-wheel ABS, traction and stability control, and the Onstar post-collision safety system are among standard safety features in the ’09 Colorado LT2 lineup. Additionally, as with the ’09 Colorado LT1 trims, side curtain head airbags are optional for all LT2 trims.
