Pretty much nothing is left out of the 2006 Infiniti Q45 Sport sedan. Its 340-hp, 4.5-liter, 32-valve DOHC V8 and updated shiftable 5-speed automatic transmission with wider gear spacing. 19-inch alloy wheels with performance tires, adaptive rear suspension, a limited-slip rear differential, and an active rear-steer system that adjusts the rear suspension according to inputs from speed and steering sensors improve overall handling. For safety, the 2006 Q45 Sport earns top ratings from the Insurance Institute. This is probably because it includes 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, Vehicle Dynamic stability control, traction control, a backup camera, mirrors with turn signals, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, auto-dimming mirrors, xenon HID headlamps with seven lenses, and foglights. Dual front, front-side, and side curtain airbags for both rows are standard. Options add intelligent cruise control, which maintains a safe distance from other cars, and a new lane-departure alert for sleepy drivers who tend to drift.
Luxury comes in the form of heated leather seats, automatic climate control, a 10-way driver's seat with memory, an 8-way passenger seat, power tilt and telescopic steering, voice-activated controls for the climate, cruise, and 6-CD-changer Bose system (these last two are also located on the steering wheel), a trip computer, remote entry, a garage remote, full power features, a joystick-controlled navigation system with 7-inch screen, and satellite radio. A power sunroof opens up the interior. The dash is lit by electroluminescent gauges, and wood and leather trim give the interior that extra upscale touch. Convenience features include front and rear power outlets and cupholders, a standard first aid kit, and tie-downs for the 13.7-cubic-foot trunk. A Premium Package adds the few missing features, including reclining rear seats, heated and cooled seats in both rows, and a power shade for the rear window in addition to manual shades for the rear passenger windows. The long list of features packed into a sporty V8-powered performance vehicle are the biggest draws for drivers of the 2006 Infiniti Q45 Sport, though they don't like the joystick controller.
