The base version of Hyundai's full-size, front-wheel drive luxury sedan doesn't skimp on upscale features and convenience. It represents a good value for a sedan with high-end trappings, coming standard with full power features, power front seats, leather upholstery and trim, cruise control, a CD player, intermittent wipers, remote entry, a garage opener, trip computer, and heated mirrors. Lighter-colored wood trim decorates the interior. The only major option is a CD changer.

The affordable luxury sedan boasts a lot of safety features, such as dual front and front-side airbags, ABS brakes, traction control, automatic headlights, foglights, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. A 3.5-liter DOHC V6 delivers 194-hp and 216 lb-ft of torque with a 5-speed shiftable automatic transmission. Front legroom maxes at a comfortable 47 inches, while rear legroom is an average 37 inches. Rear seats split-fold, opening onto a 15 cubic foot trunk with standard cargo net. An 8-CD changer is optional. A perky engine eases acceleration, and the interior space is comfortable for four passengers to stretch out. Owners are amazed that you get so many features in the 2004 XG350 L without breaking your wallet. Headroom and fuel economy could be improved, and an automatic locking function would be a nice addition.
