However, the wheel design was obscured by black paint, diminishing its visual impact. Inside, the GV80 boasted an Ultramarine Blue over Dune interior with diamond-stitched Nappa leather, a suede headliner, and a wide touchscreen display, exuding luxury. Despite its opulence, the Prestige Signature trim didn't significantly outshine the regular Prestige model.

The 2025 Hyundai Palisade distinguished itself with bold design choices, especially after a 2023 refresh that introduced a more angular and technical look. The Palisade's design was polarizing but generally appreciated for its upscale appearance, making it seem like a bargain. Inside, even the base SE trim offered a modern and upscale feel. Higher trims featured premium leather, artificial suede, and metal speaker grilles, though some control markings were hard to read. The Palisade was packed with thoughtful details, such as USB ports in the front seatbacks and a Leading Vehicle Departure Alert. Available in seven trims, prices ranged from $37,200 to $54,500, excluding a $1,475 destination charge. Our Calligraphy trim test vehicle, with AWD and Robust Emerald paint, had an MSRP of $55,205.

Our 3.5T test vehicle had a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine, delivering 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain offered satisfying performance but was thirsty, with an observed 17.2 mpg compared to the EPA's 20 mpg estimate. Both engines paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive, offering five driving modes. The GV80 had 8.1 inches of ground clearance and could tow up to 6,000 pounds. The 3.5T model included upgraded brakes and adaptive damping suspension, providing a rewarding driving experience with swift acceleration and commendable grip from its P265/40R22 all-season tires.

The 2025 Hyundai Palisade came with a 3.8-liter V6 engine producing 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Palisade's maximum towing capacity was 5,000 pounds, and it averaged 22 mpg in combined driving, or 21 mpg with AWD. Despite its age, the Palisade drove well, with a firm ride at lower speeds and a softer ride on highways. Our test vehicle handled speed humps impressively, and the Smart driving mode adjusted calibration automatically. The powertrain was smooth and refined, though not very fuel-efficient, with an observed 19.8 mpg. The Palisade's steering and suspension offered a reasonable feel for the road, and the brakes were well-calibrated.

In 2024, the Genesis GV80 3.5T Advanced was the only model with a third-row seat, while the Prestige Signature held only four people due to its second-row captain's chairs. This limited passenger capacity meant leaving the GV80 at home for a family trip. Depending on the trim, the GV80 featured artificial or premium leather, with standard heated front seats and a power hands-free liftgate. Our test vehicle had a panoramic roof, triple-zone climate control, and ventilated front seats with massage programs. However, the seats were uncomfortable on long trips, and second-row legroom was limited. Cargo space measured 34.9 cubic feet behind the second row, expanding to 84 cubic feet with the seats folded.

The 2025 Hyundai Palisade offered three rows of seats, with our test vehicle featuring a seven-passenger arrangement. The Calligraphy trim included Nappa leather, power-adjustable front seats, and a massaging driver’s seat. The second-row captain’s chairs were heated and ventilated, with good thigh support and legroom. The third-row seat was also heated, a rarity, and offered USB-C ports and drink holders. Storage space was generous, with adjustable cupholders and smartphone trays. The Smart Liftgate opened automatically when detecting the key fob, though it could be inconvenient. Cargo space measured 18 cubic feet behind the third row, expanding to 86.4 cubic feet with the seats folded.

The 2024 Genesis GV80 featured a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display, though its distance from the driver encouraged use of the center console control dial. Other features included Bluetooth support, wireless charging, SiriusXM, and Bluelink+ services. The voice recognition system was impressive, and the Harman Kardon audio system offered good sound. The Palisade also had a head-up display and a surround-view camera system.

The 2024 Genesis GV80 came with numerous advanced driving-assistance systems, including a Blind-Spot View Monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and Highway Driving Assist (HDA). HDA worked well in light or slow-moving traffic but was less desirable in heavy traffic.
