2022 Ford Bronco Reviews Summary

The deep roster of Ford Bronco models means there’s one for almost any skill level, as well as a wide range of budgets. It’s as off-road capable as the Jeep Wrangler but is significantly better to drive on pavement. Unfortunately, the Bronco’s excellence is well documented and it’s so popular that it’s already sold out for 2022.

2023 Kia Telluride Reviews Summary

Kia can barely keep up with demand for the Telluride, and its dealers and customers have told the company not to change a single thing, so you’d think it unnecessary for the automaker to invest a single penny upgrading the popular three-row crossover SUV.

Kia would disagree.

This year, the 2023 Telluride gets minor styling changes, new technologies, and some off-roading attitude in the form of new X-Line and X-Pro trim levels. We headed to San Antonio, Texas, which has somehow become the seventh most populous city in the U.S., to sample the Telluride’s new kit. And we remain impressed with this excellent family-size sport-ute.

2022 Ford Bronco

9/10

2023 Kia Telluride

9/10
CarGurus experts rate both the 2022 Ford Bronco and the 2023 Kia Telluride a commendable 9 out of 10 for look and feel, signaling a strong start for this comparison. The Bronco, with its attractive retro styling and go-anywhere attitude, impresses with a lineup that includes the Everglades and the separate Bronco Raptor model. Designed with off-roading in mind, it offers a range of models with increasing off-road capabilities, customizable options, and a utilitarian yet modern interior that balances ruggedness with technology. The Telluride, meanwhile, freshens up its appeal with new styling, colors, and technological enhancements, especially in the X-Line and X-Pro models. Its interior boasts a futuristic feel thanks to a large touchscreen infotainment system, luxurious trims, and comfortable seating for up to eight passengers. Both vehicles, despite their different markets, achieve high marks for delivering distinctive looks and functional interiors that resonate well with their target audiences.

Performance

2022 Ford Bronco

9/10

2023 Kia Telluride

9/10
Both vehicles score a 9 out of 10 in performance from CarGurus experts. The Bronco's base engine delivers 300 horsepower, with an optional V6 pushing 330 hp. Its manual transmission and off-road capabilities make it a formidable competitor in challenging terrains. The Telluride, with its 3.8-liter V6 offering 291 horsepower, focuses on a balanced driving experience, capable off-road with the right trims but shining on highways and city streets with a smooth ride and efficient fuel consumption.
Form and function

2022 Ford Bronco

9/10

2023 Kia Telluride

9/10
When comparing the 2022 Ford Bronco and the 2023 Kia Telluride in terms of form and function, each brings unique advantages to the table, particularly in seating comfort, passenger space, and notably, luggage capacity. The Ford Bronco's design offers a utilitarian approach with a focus on off-road capabilities, without compromising on passenger space. Its squared-off styling isn't just for looks; it enhances interior volume significantly. Front and rear passengers enjoy ample headroom and legroom, ensuring comfort even on long journeys. However, accessing the rear seats, especially in the two-door models, can be somewhat cumbersome. The Bronco shines in terms of cargo space, offering up to 22.4 cubic feet behind the rear seats in the two-door model and expanding to 52.3 cubic feet with the seats folded. The four-door model further increases these figures to 35.6 cubic feet and 77.6 cubic feet, respectively, showcasing its practicality for both daily use and adventure trips. These figures make the Bronco a versatile choice for hauling gear, though the presence of a step-up between the cargo floor and folded rear seats may hinder the loading of bulkier items. The 2023 Kia Telluride, tailored more towards family use and comfort, excels in providing a spacious and luxurious cabin. Depending on the seating configuration, it accommodates seven to eight passengers across three rows, with premium features such as Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, and a new power lumbar stabilization system enhancing long-distance driving comfort. The Telluride's cargo capacity is equally impressive, with 21 cubic feet available behind the third row. This expands to 46 cubic feet with the third row folded, and with both rear rows down, the Telluride boasts a maximum cargo volume of 87 cubic feet. In summary, while the Bronco appeals to those seeking adventure with its robust off-road functionality and adaptable storage solutions, the Telluride caters to families and those requiring more in-cabin comfort and a higher luggage capacity.
