Which Mercedes-Benz GLS trim should I buy?

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS offers these trims:

• GLS 450 4Matic: the six-cylinder model with standard leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, and the standard Superscreen; this is the best-value trim for most shoppers who want the core GLS experience.
• GLS 580 4Matic: adds the V8 powertrain and extra performance, making it the right pick if you want stronger acceleration and a more muscular character.
• AMG GLS 63: adds the performance model’s sporty body kit, unique 21-inch wheels, performance-tuned transmission and suspension, limited-slip differential, and beefier brakes.
• Maybach GLS 680: adds the ultra-luxury treatment with extra chrome and 22-inch monobloc wheels.

What Mercedes-Benz GLS do most buyers choose?

The Mercedes-Benz GLS years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right color, trim, and price. They also sit close enough to the newest models to keep the GLS’s modern luxury and technology appeal intact.

What is the Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across the GLS lineup, which can work in your favor if you’re shopping used.
