New & Used 2026 Toyota Sienna for Sale nearMalta, IL

Is the 2026 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from users and 6.5/10 from CarGurus experts. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10. The 2026 Toyota Sienna is a family-focused minivan that covers the basics well, with power sliding side doors, three rows of comfortable seats, and plenty of expandable cargo room. It also comes with standard hybrid power and best-in-class fuel economy, which makes it especially appealing if you want to spend less time at the pump.

The trade-offs are real: its maximum cargo room trails other minivans, it’s described as boring to drive, and the interior materials feel cheap. Even so, it still makes sense if you want a practical people mover with easy-to-use technology and available all-wheel drive for extra winter traction.

Good and great deals account for 39.5% of listings, so there is at least some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2026 Toyota Sienna is positioned as a practical hybrid minivan with a reputation for long-term reliability, and its standard hybrid setup is part of that appeal. Its powertrain is described as foundationally sound, and the vehicle’s stability is helped by the low-mounted battery pack and electric motors.

Toyota also includes two years or 25,000 miles of free scheduled maintenance, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical drama and more about living with a minivan that has unimpressive safety ratings and a cabin that feels cheaper than rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Toyota Sienna?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies. You should still run a vehicle history report, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, and pay close attention to interior condition, brake feel, and how the tech and driver-assistance systems operate in real use. Because the Sienna’s cabin uses a lot of cheap-feeling materials, wear and rattles matter more than they might in a more upscale rival.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Woodland Edition adds a subtle suspension lift and a more outdoorsy look, but the cabin still shows plenty of cheap plastic and the trim does not look especially rugged. Base trims miss some of the higher-trim parking aids, so check whether the features you want are standard on the specific version you’re considering.
• Powertrain: All Siennas use a hybrid setup with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine, a nickel-metal hydride battery pack, and an electric motor. Front-wheel drive is standard on most trims, while all-wheel drive is available; Woodland Edition and Platinum get e-AWD standard.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes high-beam assist, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and lane-centering assist. Blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert are also included, while higher trims add front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.
• Infotainment: Most trims get a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Toyota also includes connected-service trial subscriptions, and wireless charging is available.
• Fuel efficiency: An AWD Sienna should get 35 mpg combined, and the hybrid setup is described as delivering best-in-class fuel economy.

Which 2026 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2026 Toyota Sienna is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Woodland Edition, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, so it makes the most sense if you want the Sienna’s core hybrid efficiency and family-friendly layout at the lowest price.
• XLE: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it should add meaningful comfort and convenience without pushing you into luxury-trim pricing.
• XSE: Choose this if you want a sportier-looking Sienna and are willing to pay more for style.
• Limited: This is the better pick if you want a more upscale-feeling minivan with more premium equipment.
• Woodland Edition: Pick this if you want the lifted look, standard e-AWD, and extra winter traction; just don’t expect true off-road hardware.
• Platinum: This is the top-end choice if you want the most equipment, including the highest-level convenience features mentioned in the data.

The Woodland Edition and other higher trim levels add front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Toyota Sienna?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,880 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 93.6% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2026 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2026 Toyota Sienna earned a three-star driver protection rating and a four-star front passenger protection rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in each side-impact test and a four-star rollover resistance rating. It does not qualify for a Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ award from IIHS, and it received a Marginal result in the updated moderate overlap front-impact test that measures second-row occupant protection.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes high-beam assist, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and lane-centering assist. Blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert are also included, and higher trims add front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

One caveat worth noting is that the lane-centering system struggled with temporary lane markings in a construction zone, and the IIHS second-row result is a weak spot for family buyers.

Should I buy a 2026 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines standard hybrid power with best-in-class fuel economy and available AWD.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It pairs a standard hybrid powertrain with practical everyday usability.

The bottom line: If you want the most efficient, family-friendly Sienna with modern tech and available AWD, the 2026 is the better primary target. If you’re mainly trying to save money and still want the Sienna’s core practicality, the 2025 is the smarter price-sensitive alternative.
