CarGurus Analysis: 2025 Toyota Sienna
overall

Summary
With 1,592 currently listed for sale and an average price of $48,157.00, 30.1% of 2025 Toyota Siennas for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Toyota Sienna 5 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 6.33 / 10.
93.5% of 2025 Sienna models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2025 Toyota Sienna stands out in the minivan class by pairing a standard hybrid powertrain with practical everyday usability. It is also described as getting on in years, but it still brings a mix of strengths that make it a worthy contender, including great ride quality, a quiet cabin, and easy-to-use technology.
Its appeal is especially clear in the way it balances efficiency and versatility. The Sienna is said to promise 35 to 36 mpg in combined driving, and it offers an available all-wheel-drive system for extra traction. A Woodland Edition trim adds half an inch of extra ground clearance for light off-roading capability, giving it a bit more ruggedness than many shoppers expect from a minivan. Just as important, you never need to remove the second-row seats to use its cargo area, which makes day-to-day hauling simpler even though its maximum cargo capacity falls short of rivals.
There are still tradeoffs to consider. The transmission is described as irritating, and real-world fuel economy is noted as poor despite the strong combined mpg promise. Even so, the 2025 Toyota Sienna remains distinctive for buyers who want a comfortable, quiet minivan that emphasizes fuel savings, available AWD, and practical packaging.

Great handling car with an amazing amount of flexible storage. The XSE trim provides extra features for our sporting needs including the hidden tow and Hybrid makes this fuel efficient. No range anxiety when there is >800km on a full tank.

We looked at some platinum and XLE models. While platinum has built-in fridge and built in vacuum but it's also more pricey. While XLE doesn't have ottoman and second row entertainment unit. This model fits perfectly for my family's needs

| Year-Round High | $50,996.86 |

Prices have softened 4.52% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,674 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices. If you find a listing below $46,242.79, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Toyota Sienna earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.
The Sienna fits you well if you want a minivan that emphasizes practical everyday usability, a quiet cabin, and a comfortable ride. It also stands out for its standard hybrid powertrain and available all-wheel drive, which broaden its appeal if you want efficiency with extra traction.
The trade-offs are worth weighing: the transmission is described as irritating, and the maximum cargo capacity falls short of rivals. Even so, the Sienna’s easy-to-use tech and family-friendly packaging keep it compelling.
Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Sienna is presented as a practical, efficiency-focused minivan with a standard hybrid setup and a cabin built for everyday family use. Its hybrid powertrain is described as quiet in normal driving, and the available all-wheel-drive system adds flexibility without changing the core mission.
ToyotaCare complimentary scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles adds a useful ownership perk. The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that the Sienna’s real-world fuel economy may not match expectations, so your running costs can vary more than the official numbers suggest.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific van you’re considering has a clean maintenance record. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission behavior, brake feel, and cabin electronics, since those are the kinds of systems that can affect day-to-day ownership most. Focus on overall condition and how the van drives under load, especially if you plan to use it for family hauling or road trips.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The lineup includes LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Woodland Edition, and Platinum. The LE is the entry point and has three-zone climate control, while higher trims add a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and more upscale interior touches. The Platinum trim adds a woodgrain finish and other premium details.
- Powertrain: The only powertrain is a hybrid system with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a CVT. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available for extra traction. The setup is tuned for efficiency, but the transmission can sound strained under hard acceleration.
- Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard. The lane-centering system can waver a bit, so you should test it on your own routes.
- Infotainment: Higher-spec models get a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and the system supports connected services and over-the-air-style subscription-based features through Toyota’s connected platform.
- Fuel efficiency: The official EPA rating for the FWD test model was 36 mpg in combined driving, while the evaluation loop returned 26.3 mpg. Toyota says the Sienna promises 35 to 36 mpg in combined driving, but real-world results can vary.
Which 2025 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?
The 2025 Toyota Sienna is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Woodland Edition, Platinum.
Here's the short version:
- Base trim: The LE gives you the essentials, but it’s the least upscale version and has three-zone climate control instead of the richer setup found higher up the range.
- Sweet-spot trim: The XLE is the most balanced choice if you want a step up in comfort and convenience without going all the way to the luxury end.
- Premium/top trim: The Platinum is the most feature-rich choice, with the 12.3-inch displays, a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and upscale interior touches.
- Off-road trim: The Woodland Edition is the one to consider if you want the extra ground clearance and a bit more rugged capability for light off-pavement use.
Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is the core safety package across the lineup, and all Siennas also include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?
This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.
- Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,674 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.52% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 93.8% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $46,242.79, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Toyota Sienna's resale value?
The current average of $48,111 sits slightly below last year's $50,389.
That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward from where it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, the Sienna’s value will likely depend on how well it holds up mechanically and cosmetically, especially because buyers in this segment pay close attention to condition and family-use wear.
Strong demand for efficient, practical minivans can help support resale, but your return will still hinge on mileage, maintenance history, and trim desirability. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna safe?
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gives the Sienna a five-star overall rating, but it also earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and three-star protection for the driver in a frontal impact. No minivans earn a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.
Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard as well.
The main caveat is that the Sienna’s frontal crash result is weaker than its overall NHTSA score suggests, so you should treat the safety tech as helpful support rather than a substitute for attentive driving.
Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.52% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It adds a standard hybrid powertrain, available AWD, and a Woodland Edition with extra ground clearance.
Consider the 2024 if:
- At $45,293, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $48,111 average.
- It emphasizes efficiency and everyday usefulness.
The bottom line: if you want the strongest mix of current-year pricing, inventory, and feature set, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the core Sienna strengths.
