Is the 2025 Subaru Legacy a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Legacy stands out as a practical midsize sedan with standard all-wheel drive, strong safety content, and a comfortable, everyday-driving focus. It also remains relatively affordable compared with some rivals, which makes it appealing if you want a well-equipped sedan without moving into top-tier pricing.

For you, that means the Legacy makes the most sense if you value security, usability, and a calm driving experience more than flashy styling or quick acceleration. Its standard AWD, safety equipment, and modern infotainment setup give it a clear identity as a sensible used buy.

Is the 2025 Subaru Legacy reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Legacy is built around a familiar Subaru formula that emphasizes standard AWD, comfort, and a long list of safety features. It also includes DriverFocus and the EyeSight safety suite, which reinforces its focus on everyday confidence and driver assistance.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about making sure the car has been maintained well and hasn’t picked up hidden wear from prior use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Subaru Legacy?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Inventory: There are 892 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.27% compared with last year.

That price movement suggests the Legacy has softened enough to help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale may remain sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment. If you plan to sell later, a clean history and strong maintenance record should help you stand out in a market where shoppers have options.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Legacy or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.27% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the right pick if you want the most developed version of the Legacy formula, especially standard AWD, strong safety content, and a comfortable daily-driving setup. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a similar ownership experience for less money, so it’s worth comparing condition and mileage closely.
