Is the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

It stands out by bringing Chevy SUV style into the electric landscape with a sportier look than its more affordable showroom stablemate. It also has practical appeal thanks to plenty of cargo space and the availability of Super Cruise.

The trade-offs are clear: Apple CarPlay is not offered, and it does not offer any clear advantages in range or interior space.

38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Blazer EV is presented as a practical electric SUV with plenty of cargo space and available Super Cruise, which supports everyday usability. Its performance setup also gives you flexibility, with multiple powertrain choices within trim levels.

The available information also points to strong real-world charging and driving usability, including accurate range estimates on longer trips and quick response from the vehicle’s systems. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the battery and charging system have been cared for properly, since EV ownership depends heavily on battery health and charging habits.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple trims or higher-mileage examples. Focus on overall condition, charging behavior, and whether the vehicle’s tech and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Blazer EV is one of the two all-electric crossover SUVs from Chevrolet, joined by the slightly smaller Equinox EV. The Blazer EV distinguishes itself with a sharper and sportier design that has some hints of the now-discontinued Camaro muscle car. The interior carries that theme with sporty round air vents, faceted screens, and contrast stitching, but there are also plenty of hard plastic elements.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes multiple powertrain choices within trim levels. The LT and RS come standard with two electric motors for all-wheel drive, while the LT and RS also gain a single-motor front-wheel-drive option for 2025. The RS is also available in single-motor rear-wheel-drive form, and the SS is the high-performance version with a dual-motor setup and model-specific chassis tuning.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with steering intervention, reverse automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, automatic high beams, and a safety alert seat. Super Cruise is available as an option and also comes with a semi-automated parking system.
• Infotainment: You get a huge 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument panel, plus native navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, OnStar remote monitoring and control, and Google Built-in. Apple CarPlay is not offered.
• Range & charging: The Blazer EV has an AC charge rate of 11.5 kW for home charging and DC fast charging capability up to 190 kW, which Chevy says should replenish up to 78 miles of range in 10 minutes. The AWD models use an 85-kWh battery pack, while the RS RWD uses a larger 102-kWh battery.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, ask how the vehicle has typically been charged, and look for signs of frequent DC fast charging versus mostly home charging. You should also confirm how much of the battery warranty remains and review charging history if it’s available.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV is offered in 4 trim levels: LT, RS, RS RWD, SS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the Blazer EV’s core appeal without paying for the sportier upper-trim extras. It gives you the basic Blazer EV experience, including the available dual-motor AWD setup and the standard tech and safety content.
• RS: This is the trim to consider if you want the sportier look and a richer feature set. It builds on the Blazer EV’s style-first personality and is the better fit if you want the more eye-catching version with stronger equipment appeal.
• RS RWD: This version is the range leader of the lineup and adds a rear-wheel-drive setup that gives it a different character from the AWD RS. It suits you if you want the RS look with the longest estimated range.
• SS: This is the performance-focused choice, with 615 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque and a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds. It’s the one to buy if outright acceleration matters most.

The safety package includes standard driver assistance features across the lineup, while Super Cruise is available as an option.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers who want to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,603 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,251, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV's resale value?

The current average of $31,251 sits slightly below last year's $37,287.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Blazer EV more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim desirability rather than on broad market momentum alone.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV (RWD) received five out of five stars in all crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and the AWD model received four stars for rollover protection.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver assistance safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with steering intervention, reverse automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, automatic high beams, and a safety alert seat.

GM's Super Cruise automated hands-free driving system is available as an option and also comes with a semi-automated parking system. The AWD model’s four-star rollover result is the main caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds more powertrain flexibility, including multiple motor and drivetrain choices.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,353, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $31,251 average.
• It offers unique style and impressive technology.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the broader powertrain lineup and the stronger current market conditions. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the better value path.
