You should still run a history report on every candidate and confirm there are no accident, title, or odometer issues. That small increase suggests the market has stayed stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. The HR-V’s practical appeal and broad shopper interest should help it remain easy to market when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $23,425, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $25,446 average.
• It brings a redesigned cabin with a fresh look and a strong standard feature set.

The bottom line: If you want the current-year market with stable pricing and strong owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the smarter value play and still gives you a modern, well-equipped HR-V.
