How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD cost?

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The 2024 Silverado 3500HD is built for buyers who need serious towing and hauling ability rather than everyday light-duty comfort, and it offers a broad range of cab styles, rear-wheel configurations, and towing-focused technology. It also brings useful equipment such as blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, adaptive cruise control with trailer monitoring, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Chevrolet’s trailering app with detailed camera views. 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2024 Silverado 3500HD is described as a capable, work-focused heavy-duty truck with a comfortable and functional cabin, broad configuration choices, and towing-oriented tech that supports demanding use. Its biggest strengths are capability and versatility, while its tradeoffs include a basic-feeling interior and weak fuel economy, especially with the diesel. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that hard work, towing, and diesel-related costs can make condition and maintenance history especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify how the truck was used, especially if it was regularly towing or hauling heavy loads. Put inspection priority on the drivetrain, brakes, suspension, tires, and any trailering-related equipment, since those systems are more likely to show wear on a heavy-duty truck. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because a well-kept work truck can be a much better buy than a lower-mileage example that was used hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

If you find a listing below $58,525, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $58,525 sits slightly below last year's $62,779.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. Heavy-duty trucks with strong capability and broad buyer appeal tend to hold attention well, especially when they’re configured for towing and work use. Condition, mileage, and maintenance history will matter a lot when you eventually sell, because buyers in this segment are usually focused on utility and durability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years for a lower entry point, but the 2024 gives you a good balance of value and availability.
