Used 2023 Porsche 911 for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2023 Porsche 911 cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,254 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for a niche sports car.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Porsche 911 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It blends strong driving enjoyment with everyday livability, and its cabin uses premium interior materials that reinforce its upscale feel. The lineup also spans from a more elemental driving experience to more specialized performance-focused variants, so you can tailor the car to how you want to use it.

The trade-offs are real: cargo space is limited, and advanced safety features are not standard. Even so, the 911’s broad appeal and polished execution make it a compelling choice if you want a sports car that still feels usable.

With 32.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 911’s long evolution and refined engineering support its reputation for being a well-sorted sports car, and the expert evaluation emphasizes that it remains comfortable and easy to live with for a car in this class. Its performance focus does not come at the expense of basic day-to-day usability, which is part of why it continues to appeal to buyers over time.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that this is still a high-cost performance car, so repairs and upkeep can be expensive if prior maintenance was neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Porsche 911?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the car’s maintenance records are complete. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a performance car like this, since condition and prior use matter more than mileage alone. Pay close attention to wear items, signs of track use, and whether the car has the equipment you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from the base Carrera to more specialized variants, and the base car is the one most clearly positioned for everyday use. Higher-performance versions add more capability, but the trade-off is usually less comfort or more focused driving manners.
• Powertrain: The base rear-wheel-drive Carrera uses a 379-horsepower flat-six, while Carrera 4 models add AWD. The Carrera T keeps the same engine but adds a manual transmission, lighter components, and a more engaging setup.
• Safety package: Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. Adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and blind-spot monitoring are available with the optional Premium package.
• Infotainment: The 10.9-inch touchscreen includes standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with wireless CarPlay support. Android Auto still requires a USB cable.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2023 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Porsche 911 is offered in 12 trim levels: Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera T, Carrera S, Carrera GTS, Sport Classic, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, Dakar, and 911.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the best-value choice if you want the core 911 experience without paying for extra specialization. It delivers more than enough performance for most drivers and is the trim the data points to as the most broadly satisfying starting point.
• Carrera T: This is the enthusiast’s pick if you want the least expensive manual-transmission 911. The lighter setup, manual gearbox, and added driver-focused hardware make it the most engaging choice for shoppers who value involvement over comfort.
• Carrera S: This trim adds more power and many of the Carrera T’s upgrades, so it makes sense if you want a stronger performance step without jumping into the more extreme models.
• Carrera GTS: This is the middle-of-the-range performance choice, with more power and a stronger emphasis on capability. It suits buyers who want a more serious 911 without going all the way to the track-focused variants.
• Sport Classic: This one stands out for its retro styling and higher output. It is for buyers who want something more distinctive and collectible-feeling.
• Turbo: The Turbo models bring very high horsepower, but the data suggests they are less about pure sportiness than the track-focused cars. They fit buyers who want serious speed with a more grand-touring flavor.
• Turbo S: Choose this if you want the strongest turbocharged performance in the lineup and are comfortable paying for it.
• GT3: This is the track-focused choice for shoppers who prioritize high-performance driving above comfort.
• GT3 RS: This is the most extreme track-oriented option in the lineup, with the sharpest focus on racetrack performance.
• Dakar: This is the outlier if you want the rally-inspired, lifted variant with all-terrain character.
• 911: The data explicitly names this trim in the lineup, but it does not provide enough detail to separate it from the broader range here.
• Carrera 4: Pick this if you want the Carrera formula with AWD for added traction.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that advanced safety features are not standard, and the optional Premium package is where several key driver-assistance features live.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Porsche 911?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,254 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $212,422, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $222,145 sits slightly below last year's $222,264.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to resell later. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate future value because the model is not showing sharp swings in demand.

The 911’s strong desirability and premium positioning should continue to support buyer interest, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment. If you buy carefully and maintain the car well, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 safe?

The 2023 Porsche 911 has not published crash test evaluations from NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. Adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and blind-spot monitoring are available as part of the optional Premium package. Other notable features include night vision and an integrated dashcam.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you should pay close attention to equipment on any used example you consider.

Should I buy a 2023 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 lineup adds the Carrera T, GT3 RS, Sport Classic, and Dakar, giving you unusually broad performance variety.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $216,485, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $222,145 average.
• It blends approachable performance with everyday drivability.

The bottom line: If you want the broader 2023 lineup and a stable market, the 2023 is the better default choice. If your priority is saving money and you still want the core 911 formula, the 2022 is the smarter value play.
