Used 2025 Porsche 911 for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2025 Porsche 911 cost?

Prices are up 1.77% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 1,820 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from users and 8.83/10 from experts. The 2025 Porsche 911 continues the refreshed 992.2 generation with subtle updates to the face, interior, and power output, while keeping the familiar rear-engine layout that defines the car. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

That lines up with the car’s strengths: excellent overall performance, a comfortable and simplistic interior, and solid daily livability. The trade-offs are wind buffeting on the highway and slightly confusing tech, plus the base model no longer offers a manual transmission.

For a sports car that you can use regularly, the 911’s balance of excitement and everyday usability is the core appeal. 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2025 Porsche 911 is described as a polished, well-rounded sports car with excellent ride quality, strong usability, and a familiar formula that continues to work well. Its performance is also framed as versatile, with smooth power delivery and impressive braking and handling.

The expert notes also point to a durable-feeling driving experience, with confident chassis behavior and standard equipment that performs well in real use. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six, eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, and standard adaptive dampers all support a sense of mechanical sophistication.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s core character and more about the complexity and cost that can come with a high-end sports car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Porsche 911?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Even with strong clean-history coverage, you should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection. Focus on condition, service records, and whether the car’s equipment and options match what you want, since this model can vary a lot by build.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Carrera emphasizes the car’s clean styling, simple interior, and standard wide-body look, while the Premium Package adds more convenience and driver-assistance equipment. If you want the most complete everyday setup, pay close attention to whether the car has the added safety and parking features.
• Powertrain: The standard setup uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six with 388 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed PDK and rear-wheel drive. It’s quick, smooth, and efficient enough for a high-performance sports car, with EPA-rated fuel economy of 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes traffic sign recognition, pedestrian protection, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 10.9-inch infotainment screen, and wireless Apple CarPlay is supported. The digital instrument cluster is 12.6 inches, and the interface is described as clear once you learn it, though it can take some getting used to.
• Fuel efficiency: The base car is rated at 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Porsche 911 is offered in 6 trim levels: Carrera, Cabriolet, Carrera T, Carrera S, Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, and Carrera 4 GTS.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the best-value starting point if you want the core 911 experience. You get the twin-turbo flat-six, rear-wheel drive, the dual-clutch transmission, and the model’s standout ride, handling, and braking without paying for extra complexity.
• Cabriolet: Choose this if open-air driving matters most to you. It starts higher than the coupe, so you’re paying for the convertible body style rather than a major performance jump.
• Carrera T: This is the trim to target if you want the manual transmission, since that option returns here. It’s the right pick for buyers who value driver involvement over the base car’s automatic-only setup.
• Carrera S: Step up here if you want more power, since it increases output to 473 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. It suits you if you want a stronger performance margin without moving all the way into the hybrid GTS range.
• Carrera GTS T-Hybrid: This is the performance-and-tech leap, with a 3.6-liter flat-six, larger turbochargers, and a plug-in hybrid system that raises output to 523 horsepower and 449 pound-feet of torque. It’s the choice if you want the most advanced powertrain in the lineup.
• Carrera 4 GTS: Pick this if you want the GTS formula with all-wheel drive. It costs more than the rear-drive GTS and is the only AWD option in the lineup.

The Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist, so it’s worth seeking out if you want a more complete safety and convenience setup.

What is the 2025 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $225,706 sits slightly above last year's $221,786.

That upward move suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. The year-round range also stays fairly tight, which can help support pricing discipline when demand is steady.

For a future seller, that means well-kept examples should remain attractive if they’re priced in line with condition and equipment. Strong demand for a car with this kind of reputation can help reduce the risk of steep depreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Porsche 911 safe?

The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera comes standard with traffic sign recognition, pedestrian protection, forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking. To expand this suite of driver assistance technology, the $5,240 Premium Package includes adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety setup is solid, but you’ll want to check whether a used example has the Premium Package if you want the fuller driver-assistance suite. The available adaptive cruise control is described as especially smooth in operation.

Should I buy a 2025 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.77% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model year marks the beginning of the refreshed 992.2 generation, bringing subtle changes to the face, interior, and power output while keeping the familiar rear-engine shape.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed 992.2-era 911 with strong satisfaction, excellent clean-history inventory, and a proven blend of performance and daily usability, the 2025 is the right place to start. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2025 gives you the latest update without losing the classic 911 formula.
