Used 2023 Honda Ridgeline for Sale near New York

How much does the 2023 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 5.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,291 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Ridgelines to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Generally — you’re looking at a 4.4/5 user-rated truck with an expert score of 7.5/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, versatility, and useful storage space. The Ridgeline also fits buyers who want a midsize truck for modest tasks without the usual pickup compromises, especially if you value daily-driver comfort and practicality.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology feels outdated, and it falls short on towing capacity and off-road capability compared with some rivals.

With 38.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable, with comfort, smooth ride quality, versatility, and useful storage standing out as recurring positives. The expert review reinforces that sense of confidence by describing the Ridgeline as refined on pavement and easy to live with day to day.

Honda also includes two years or 24,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that aging technology and limited capability may matter more as your needs grow.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing trucks with similar prices. Focus on overall condition, signs of heavy use, and whether the truck’s equipment matches the trim you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport is the base model, and the higher trims add more equipment and refinement. The base setup is the one most likely to leave you wanting more if you care about convenience and tech.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.5-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission and torque-vectoring all-wheel drive. It’s tuned for smooth, refined driving rather than maximum truck toughness.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert require an upgrade from Sport to RTL.
• Infotainment: The truck uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus basic HondaLink services. Wireless smartphone charging, navigation, premium audio, and cargo bed speakers are limited to higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The Ridgeline averaged 22.6 mpg on a road trip and 21.4 mpg on a test loop, with official ratings of 21 mpg combined and 24 mpg highway.

Which 2023 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Ridgeline’s core strengths at the lowest price. You still get the V6, all-wheel drive, and the truck’s comfort-first character, but you give up some of the convenience and safety upgrades found higher up.
• RTL: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of value and equipment. It adds the safety features missing from Sport, making it the smartest choice for most used buyers.
• RTL-E: This is the better pick if you want more tech and convenience. It adds navigation, a premium sound system, cargo bed speakers, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, aimed at buyers who want the most premium-feeling Ridgeline. It builds on the upper trims with the most complete feature set.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert start at RTL.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,291 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,109, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $31,109 sits slightly below last year's $32,827.

That softer pricing suggests the Ridgeline has become a little more buyer-friendly in the used market. If you’re planning to sell later, that means you may not see the same pricing strength you would in a tighter market.

Still, the truck’s practical appeal and broad usefulness should help it remain attractive to shoppers who want comfort and versatility over traditional truck toughness.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2023 Ridgeline earns mostly favorable crash-test and safety ratings from IIHS, and it gets top marks in all crash tests plus a four-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on Sport and require an upgrade to RTL.

The main caveat is that the driver-assistance tech is aging and not as smooth or refined as newer systems.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It delivers a practical, comfort-first truck experience with strong daily-driver appeal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,149, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,109 average.
• It offers the same basic unibody comfort-first formula.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $34,178, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $31,109 average.
• It adds a TrailSport trim and fresh tech updates.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the best mix of price, comfort, and practicality. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the value play; if you want newer updates and can spend more, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
