How much does the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E cost?

Prices have softened 1.12% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,001 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its impressive performance, stylish design, and advanced technology, and they also appreciate the all-wheel-drive capability and quiet, smooth ride. In use, that lines up with the Mach-E’s role as a stylish electric crossover that blends performance, technology, and utility in one package.

The trade-offs are that the electric range is unimpressive, the ride quality can be choppy, and you may wish for quicker access to some controls. Even so, the 42.0% share of good or great deals shows there are still attractive listings in the market.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its quiet, smooth ride and the confidence that comes from strong performance and all-wheel-drive capability. That kind of feedback usually matters most when you want a used EV you can count on over time.

Ford also emphasizes that the Mach-E’s BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system is standard across the lineup, which adds to the sense of modern, well-supported ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the battery, software, and charging behavior still match the car’s age and mileage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV where software, charging, and battery condition matter as much as cosmetic wear. Focus on how the car has been used and maintained, and pay close attention to any signs of uneven charging behavior, warning lights, or inconsistent range.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Select, Premium, California Route 1, and GT. The Premium trim level offers up to 290 miles of range, the California Route 1 comes only with all-wheel drive and 312 miles of range this year, and the GT adds a more distinctive look with revised bumpers, unique 20-inch wheels, and a dark front panel that resembles a traditional grille. The Select trim is the one where Ford’s website says the surround-view camera and BlueCruise are options, so check equipment carefully if those features matter to you.
• Powertrain: Across the lineup, you can choose between single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive electric drive systems, with output spanning from 266 to 480 horsepower and 317 to 634 pound-feet of torque. Range spans from 224 to 312 miles depending on configuration, so the exact setup matters a lot for both performance and daily usability.
• Safety package: Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard on all Mach-E models, along with the latest version of BlueCruise hands-free highway driving. Ford says BlueCruise and the 360-degree camera are available for a complimentary 90-day trial period on Select models, while other variants may include them as standard, so verify the exact trim equipment before you buy.
• Infotainment: The Mach-E uses a 15.5-inch vertical touchscreen with Sync 4A, over-the-air software updates, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, FordPass Connect with a Wi-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM 360L, navigation, and wireless smartphone charging. It also includes a 10.2-inch digital instrumentation display and Phone As A Key technology.
• Range & charging: The Premium trim level offers up to 290 miles of range, and the California Route 1 reaches 312 miles this year. The usable battery capacity and DC fast-charge time are not specified here, so verify those details on the exact vehicle you’re considering.
• Battery health: Ask for battery state-of-health information, review charging habits, and confirm whether the car has mostly been charged at home or relied heavily on DC fast charging. Also check how much of the battery warranty remains, since that can matter a lot on a used EV.

Which 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E trim should I buy?

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E is offered in 4 trim levels: Select, Premium, California Route 1, GT.

Here's the short version:

• Select: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Mach-E experience at the lowest starting point and are willing to verify which safety and camera features are included on the exact car you’re shopping.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the stronger range figure mentioned in the review while keeping the Mach-E’s core mix of style, tech, and utility intact.
• California Route 1: Choose this if range matters most, since it is described as AWD-only with 312 miles of range this year.
• GT: Pick this if you want the most performance-focused version, with 480 horsepower, 600 lb-ft of torque, and the most aggressive appearance.

Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard across the lineup, and BlueCruise availability should be confirmed by trim before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

This looks like a buyer-friendly market, with solid deal availability and a price trend that has moved in your favor.

• Deal availability: 42.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,001 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.12% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,018, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E's resale value?

The current average of $29,853 sits slightly below last year's $30,193.

That modest decline suggests the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper short-term resale gains if you plan to sell soon. Even so, the current pricing still sits within a relatively tight year-round band, which points to a market that is holding steady rather than falling sharply.

For a future seller, that usually means your return will depend more on condition, mileage, and trim desirability than on broad market swings. Well-equipped versions with strong range and desirable features should remain easier to move than stripped-down examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E safe?

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E was a Top Safety Pick for the 2022 calendar year, and NHTSA had not finalized crash-test ratings at the time of the review. It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard across the lineup, along with BlueCruise hands-free highway driving. The system adds lane-change functionality, predictive speed assist, and lane repositioning to give adjacent vehicles more space.

One caveat is that the Mach-E needs a head-up display, especially because some BlueCruise alerts appear only on the digital instrument panel. That means you may need to look down more often than you’d like to confirm system status.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 42.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Ford adds an enhanced version of BlueCruise for this model year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $32,013, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $29,853 average.
• Ford adds a new Rally trim and broader post-purchase improvement potential.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2023 is the smarter starting point because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to spend more for the newer model year and its added upgrades, the 2024 is the path to consider.
