Is the 2022 Hyundai Venue a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Hyundai Venue earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview frames it as a budget-friendly subcompact SUV that makes the most of its small footprint, with easy parking and practical maneuverability in tight spaces. It is also positioned to deliver a lot of features for the money, which matters if you want an affordable, easy-to-live-with SUV rather than maximum power or space. With 30.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Hyundai Venue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview emphasizes a simple formula: front-wheel drive only, no hybrid option, and a focus on keeping costs down. It also highlights low ownership costs, good fuel economy, and straightforward equipment, all of which support confidence for everyday use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about whether the vehicle’s limited space and modest performance fit your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Hyundai Venue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus your inspection on signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Because the Venue is a small, value-focused SUV, condition matters a lot: check that the interior, cargo area, and infotainment system all match the seller’s description. A careful test drive should also confirm that the vehicle feels mechanically sound and that nothing suggests hidden body or suspension issues.

What is the 2022 Hyundai Venue's resale value?

The current average of $16,096 sits slightly below last year's $17,217.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and presented. The Venue’s value-focused positioning and efficient ownership profile can help it stay appealing to budget-minded shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Hyundai Venue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $14,227, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $16,096 average.
• It offers a very small crossover shape with a modern feel and strong value appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping target, the 2022 is the stronger primary pick because it combines a lower current price than new-model-year alternatives with solid deal availability and strong owner satisfaction. If your top priority is saving as much as possible upfront, the 2021 is the better price-sensitive alternative.
