Is the 2022 Hyundai Venue a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2022 Hyundai Venue. It stands out as a budget-friendly subcompact SUV that makes the most of its small footprint, and its compact size helps make it easy to park and practical in tight spaces. It was also positioned to deliver a lot of features for the money, which matters if you want an affordable, easy-to-live-with SUV. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2022 Hyundai Venue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Hyundai Venue was built around a simple formula: front-wheel drive only, no all-wheel drive, and no hybrid powertrain. That simplicity can help keep ownership straightforward, and the model also emphasizes low ownership costs and good fuel economy. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about whether the vehicle has been maintained well and used in a way that matches its modest performance and space limits.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Hyundai Venue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection if the listing looks promising. Pay close attention to overall condition, since a budget-friendly model can still hide wear from heavy city use or frequent short trips. It also makes sense to check that the features you care about are working properly, especially if you want a clean, low-stress daily driver.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Hyundai Venue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 635 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.82% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,178, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Hyundai Venue's resale value?

The current average of $16,197 sits slightly below last year's $17,383.

That price movement suggests the Venue has softened, which can help you as a buyer but may temper short-term resale upside if you plan to sell soon. Even so, the model’s value-focused positioning and low-cost ownership appeal can help keep demand steady among budget-conscious shoppers. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, you should be in a better position when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Hyundai Venue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $13,979, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $16,197 average.
• It offers a very small crossover shape with a hatchback-like footprint.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and buyer confidence. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value-focused alternative, especially if you can live with its same basic size-and-utility tradeoffs.
