What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Audi Q5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the vehicle’s condition matches the listing. Pay close attention to signs of prior damage, maintenance consistency, and overall wear, especially on a premium SUV where repair costs can add up. It also helps to compare trim condition carefully, since the Q5’s appeal depends heavily on its comfort, equipment, and cabin quality.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,558, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $24,841 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option for buyers who want electrified efficiency.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $29,522, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $24,841 average.
• It adds a calmer, more refined driving feel with a quieter cabin.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-equipped luxury SUV at a softened market price. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the better value path; if you want to stretch for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2023 is worth a look.
