How much does the 2021 Lincoln Navigator cost?

Prices have softened 15.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 913 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Lincoln Navigator a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.8/5 user-rated SUV with an expert score of 7.7/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

The 2021 Navigator fits you well if you want a full-size luxury SUV that feels more like a luxury apartment than a traditional people mover. Its quiet cabin, premium interior materials, and powerful engine support that upscale, refined character. The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and sluggish touchscreen response. Even so, it remains a strong choice if you value space, comfort, and a distinctly luxurious presence.

38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Lincoln Navigator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Navigator’s overall package points to solid day-to-day dependability for a large luxury SUV, especially if you prioritize comfort, refinement, and strong power over efficiency. Its powerful twin-turbo V6 and quiet cabin support an easygoing ownership experience, while the premium interior materials suggest a well-finished vehicle. Lincoln also includes valet dropoff and pick-up at your home for four years of service, and Black Label trims add the price of those service visits plus unlimited car washes and other benefits.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is the combination of high depreciation and poor fuel economy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Lincoln Navigator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a large luxury SUV where repair costs can climb quickly. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior damage, and whether the electronics and cabin features work as expected. If you’re comparing listings, pay close attention to maintenance records and any evidence of heavy use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The interior is especially strong on higher trims, where Black Label models add more textures on the seats and softer leather covering the dash and door tops. Base-trim equipment is less lavish, so you should compare cabin materials and comfort features closely before paying more for a higher trim.
• Powertrain: One engine is offered, a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and is available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and the fuel economy is described as appropriately awful.
• Safety package: Automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and auto high beams come standard. Adaptive cruise control is optional, and the Navigator will not self-steer and track highway lanes as competently as competitors.
• Infotainment: The Navigator uses a 10-inch touchscreen, but it cannot wirelessly connect to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The system does not offer wireless software updates through the vehicle’s modem, and the cameras are low-resolution.
• Fuel efficiency: The Navigator is rated at 16 city and 20 highway.

Which 2021 Lincoln Navigator trim should I buy?

The 2021 Lincoln Navigator is offered in 3 trim levels: Standard, Reserve, Black Label.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Navigator’s core luxury-SUV experience without pushing into the pricier trim content. It makes sense if you want the model’s quiet cabin, strong engine, and upscale feel while keeping your budget in check.
• Reserve: This is the best-value trim if you want a richer luxury experience without going all the way to the top. It’s the trim that was tested, and it pairs the Navigator’s premium interior with the features that make the SUV feel especially upscale.
• Black Label: This is the most luxurious choice, with more textures on the seats and softer leather covering the dash and door tops. It suits you best if you want the most distinctive cabin presentation and the added ownership perks that come with the trim.

Knee airbags are not offered, and inflatable rear seat belts for the second row are optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Lincoln Navigator?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 913 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,557, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Lincoln Navigator's resale value?

The current average of $37,611 sits slightly below last year's $44,533.

That price movement tells you the Navigator has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For a luxury SUV in this class, a lower entry point can reduce the amount of value left to lose over your ownership period. If you plan to sell later, buying near the low end of the range gives you a better chance of limiting your loss.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Lincoln Navigator safe?

The 2021 Navigator was crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and received five stars overall and five stars in every test except for rollover resistance (four stars for 4WD models, three stars for RWD models).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and auto high beams come standard. Adaptive cruise control is optional, and the Navigator will not self-steer and track highway lanes as competently as competitors. Knee airbags are not offered, and inflatable rear seat belts for the second row are optional.

Should I buy a 2021 Lincoln Navigator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It delivers a quiet cabin, premium materials, and a powerful engine in a refined full-size luxury package.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $33,225, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $37,611 average.
• It emphasizes comfort, capability, and Lincoln’s quiet-luxury approach.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $47,114, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $37,611 average.
• It adds styling, comfort, technology, safety, and driving-dynamics updates.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price and luxury, the 2021 is the smart middle ground. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2020 is the lower-cost path; if you want the refreshed version and can spend more, the 2022 is the upgrade to consider.
