Used 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV for Sale nearBarberton, OH

How much does the 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV cost?

Prices are up 9.76% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 174 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV a good car?

The 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV is a solid fit if you want an affordable EV that emphasizes practicality, range, and everyday usability over luxury flair. It earns a 3.8/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its driving experience, spaciousness, impressive battery range, low maintenance costs, and value for money. Those strengths line up well with its role as a practical commuter EV, especially if you want usable room and efficient daily transportation.

The trade-offs are real, though: the interior materials feel cheap, the seats are described as uncomfortable, and owners also mention loud road noise and a subpar sound system. That makes it better suited to shoppers who prioritize value and efficiency than to buyers chasing a premium cabin.

It also fits the profile of an economical electric commuter rather than a luxury-minded EV, which helps explain its appeal if you want a straightforward daily driver. Only 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective even if the car itself is appealing.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV reliable?

The 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV is presented as a practical EV that should be easy to live with, and owners frequently point to low maintenance costs and value for money. Drivers also describe it as impressive on range and enjoyable to drive, which supports the case for dependable day-to-day use.

Its electric setup is built around a 66-kilowatt-hour battery and front-wheel-drive motor, with the battery mounted low in the chassis to support a stable driving feel. The battery pack is protected by an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty, which is a meaningful cushion for used buyers.

For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is less about routine upkeep and more about how the battery has been used and cared for over time. A used EV with heavy fast-charging habits or poor charging discipline deserves extra scrutiny.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status does not replace a proper inspection. Focus on cabin condition, charging behavior, and whether the car has been used in a way that matches your daily driving needs. A used EV also deserves extra attention to battery health and charging consistency.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT comes with alloy wheels, remote start, a 10.2-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a WiFi hotspot, automatic climate control, dual USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, and satellite radio. The Premier adds leather upholstery, a rear center armrest, heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and a removable cargo load floor.
• Powertrain: The Bolt EV uses a front-wheel-drive electric motor with a 66-kilowatt-hour battery pack. It makes 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, with strong low-end response and a claimed zero to 60 mph time of 6.5 seconds.
• Safety package: Chevy’s Teen Driver feature is standard, while advanced driver-assistance features are bundled into option packages. Driver Confidence I adds rear parking sensors, lane-change alert, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Driver Confidence II adds automatic high beams, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, a following distance indicator, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist.
• Infotainment: The Bolt EV uses a 10.2-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system also includes a fully digital instrument panel and smartphone app support for charging status and range monitoring.
• Range & charging: The Bolt EV has an estimated range of 259 miles. The battery capacity is 66 kWh. Level 2 charging adds about 25 miles of range per hour, and DC fast charging can add up to 100 miles in 30 minutes on equipped Premier models.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, ask how the car was typically charged, and look for signs of frequent DC fast charging versus mostly home charging. You should also confirm how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV trim should I buy?

The 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV is offered in 2 trim levels: LT and Premier.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the value choice if you want the Bolt EV’s core strengths without paying for extras. You still get the 10.2-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, remote start, and the practical everyday equipment that makes the car appealing as a commuter EV.
• Premier: This is the better pick if you want a more comfortable and better-equipped cabin. The heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, and removable cargo load floor make it the more upscale and livable version.

The safety-package note is simple: advanced driver-assistance features are not standard across the lineup, and the more complete suite is tied to option packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 174 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 9.76% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 85.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,311, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV's resale value?

The current average of $16,835 sits slightly above last year's $15,338.

That upward move suggests the Bolt EV has held buyer interest well enough to support stronger used pricing. If you own one, that can help your resale position compared with a year ago.

For a future seller, the current trend is a positive sign, but it also means buyers may be more selective about condition and equipment. A clean history and strong battery health should matter more when you go to market.

Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 9.76% year-over-year.
• It offers strong range, practical value, and a well-rounded EV package for daily commuting.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $18,777, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $16,835 average.
• It adds standard DC fast charging.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2021 is the smarter starting point because it delivers the Bolt EV’s core strengths at a lower average price. If you’re willing to pay more for added convenience, the 2022 is the better path for buyers who want standard fast-charging capability.
