About 2020 Toyota Sequoia
Overview

The Toyota Sequoia, last redesigned in 2007 and last refreshed in 2018, gets the new TRD Pro trim for 2020. Key rivals include the Ford Expedition, Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, and Nissan Armada.
The burly Sequoia has a classic look, in part because it’s been around so long. The new TRD Pro freshens things up with LED headlights and fog lights, 18-inch black BBS wheels, and a new Army Green paint option.
The Sequoia’s sole powertrain, a 5.7-liter V8 and 6-speed automatic transmission rated for 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque, carries over unchanged. Four-wheel-drive (4WD) system, which features high- and low-range gearing and a locking center differential, comes standard. An adaptive suspension system is also available. The new TRD Pro trim adds a skid plate for underbody protection and is available with a sport exhaust system. The thirsty Sequoia requires 13 mpg city, 17 highway, and 15 combined.
This old-school SUV seats 7 or 8 passengers across three rows. Trims include SR5, TRD Sport, Limited, Platinum, and TRO Pro. Standard features in the base SR5 include tri-zone climate control and a power moonroof. Options include a 10-way power driver’s seat, a 4-way power front passenger seat, heated front seats, and a power-folding third row. The TRD Sport adds automatic LED headlights, second-row captain’s chairs, and keyless entry. The Limited trim adds keyless start, a power liftgate, and heated front seats. Platinum trim adds ventilated front seats. The new TRD Pro adds exclusive leather upholstery with contrast stitching.
A 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system now comes standard in the Sequoia, though the TRD Pro trim gets a 7-inch touchscreen. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are now included, along with Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth, and satellite radio. Options include navigation, a rear-seat entertainment system, and a 14-speaker premium JBL audio system.
Every Sequoia includes the Toyota Safety Sense P package, which features a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and brake assist, lane-departure alert with sway warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. The Sequoia also includes a reversing camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
The new TRD Pro trim is tempting and the updated list of tech features helps it stay competitive.

The TRD Pro package has a great ride all the features needed to keep the family happy and riding in comfort. Sad to see the nearly indestructible 5.7 L V-8 going away on the 2023 model.

This SUV us a tremendous value when compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser. It has the exactly same engine, same power and although does not have as many optional equipment, it is $20k less so definitely hard to pass.
