Why it stands out
The 2020 Toyota 4Runner distinguishes itself primarily with its unparalleled off-road capability and durability, underpinned by a solid truck-based chassis and robust V6 engine producing 270 horsepower. This model is designed for adventurous drivers who often venture off the beaten path, with features like a part-time 4WD system and advanced traction technology such as Toyota’s CRAWL control. Moreover, despite its focus on ruggedness, the 4Runner also offers a degree of luxury through its higher trims, such as leather upholstery and an updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, buyers should be aware of its less competitive fuel economy and the higher price point compared to many modern crossovers, which might not justify the purchase for those who don’t require its tough exterior and off-road prowess.

Love the color and the ability to do anything in this bad boy. Drives off road super smooth and easy, drives on paced road as smooth as the SR5. This is the perfect vehicle.

The perfect dinosaur for me! I chose this make and model specifically for its older tech and build quality. Is it fast, no. Does it sip gas, nope. Does it feel solid, yes. This is my second one. The first is still running great at 20 years old. My only gripe is the type of OEM step bars. Easy to get in, but not the best for getting out of the vehicle. They will be swapped. Problem solved. This is a popular platform but it isn't the right vehicle for everyone. If you are considering a 4Runner, watch the Care Care Nut's review of the 5th gen 4Runners FIRST. Know what you are buying. I have had a Lexus and 2 different 4 Runners. These are the best vehicles I have ever owned and that’s comparing them to Volvo, Dodge, Jeep, and BMW. The only thing I have a problem with is gas mileage but that’s what you get when you have 4 wheel drive. It would be nice if it had the push button lift for the tail gate but no big deal. They are awesome vehicles. I am on my 4th Toyota/Lexus brand.

This 2020 4 Runner is a great choice. I have a very active lifestyle. I surf, snowboard, cycle and take my two dogs almost everywhere I go. So this vehicle is perfect for what I need. The SR5 Premium model has just enough nice features that it feels like your driving a luxury car minus the high price tag. If you are looking for a true goat of a truck I recommend this vehicle.
