Used 2020 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearBoston, MA

How much does the 2020 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 4.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 952 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.53/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, quiet cabin, safety technologies, and practical cargo space. The truck also gets credit for feeling versatile and for delivering a driving experience that compares favorably with more expensive models.

The main trade-offs are its potentially polarizing design and unintuitive technology, including software limitations and touchscreen frustrations. That makes it a better fit if you want a pickup that prioritizes everyday livability, comfort, and versatility over traditional truck toughness.

It also shows 32.4% good or great deals in the market, which suggests there are still worthwhile listings to find.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.53/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with comfort and practicality that help it earn trust over time. The review summary also emphasizes a quiet cabin and versatile features, both of which support the sense that this is a vehicle you can count on.

The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by highlighting a smooth, powerful V6 and a well-behaved nine-speed automatic. Honda also includes standard scheduled maintenance coverage for the first visit, which is a nice ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about core mechanical character and more about technology frustrations and how the truck was maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Ridgeline?

At 72.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and any signs of prior repair. Because this model’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and usability, it also makes sense to focus on cabin condition, infotainment behavior, and how well the truck’s features work in daily use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport and RTL are the more basic versions, while RTL-E and Black Edition add more premium equipment; the base trims also miss some of the convenience and tech upgrades found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: A 3.5-liter V6 pairs with a nine-speed automatic, and all-wheel drive is optional on Sport and RTL but standard on RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist; RTL-E and Black Edition add automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while RTL-E and Black Edition add SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, navigation, and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The all-wheel-drive model returns 21 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Ridgeline’s core strengths without the higher-trim extras. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and can live without the added convenience and luxury features.
• RTL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel while staying below the premium-focused versions. If you want a balanced mix of comfort and price, this is the one to focus on.
• RTL-E: This trim is the sweet spot if you want the richer tech and convenience package, including navigation, premium audio, and the added safety features that come with the upper trims.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, aimed at buyers who want the most distinctive appearance and the fullest equipment list.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, and the upper trims add blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 952 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,297, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $25,808 sits slightly below last year's $26,993.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you own one and plan to sell later, the current trend points to steady but not rising value pressure.

The Ridgeline’s appeal should help support demand, especially because shoppers who want comfort and versatility often keep this model on their shortlist. Well-kept examples with strong equipment and clean history should remain easier to move than trucks with visible wear or accident history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.53/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline earns top marks in IIHS testing except for the small overlap frontal impact test for the front passenger, which is rated acceptable. It also earns five-star ratings across the board from NHTSA except for a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. Higher trims add automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.

The main caveat is that some of the driver-assistance tuning is less polished than it could be, with the lane-departure warning and adaptive cruise control drawing criticism for their behavior.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.53/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds standard Honda Sensing and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,576, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,808 average.
• It brings a more truck-like appearance.

The bottom line: choose the 2020 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its more distinctive styling. If you care more about a more truck-like look and are willing to pay more, the 2021 is the better visual fit.
