Why it stands out
The 2021 Honda Ridgeline distinguishes itself in the crowded midsize pickup segment with its unique combination of comfort and utility. Built on the same platform as the Honda Passport and Pilot, it offers a car-like driving experience thanks to its unibody construction, which enhances ride quality and makes it a joy to drive compared to traditional body-on-frame trucks. The Ridgeline features a powerful 280-horsepower V6 engine coupled with an all-wheel-drive system, ensuring excellent performance in various conditions.
One of its most notable features is its innovative bed design, which includes a dual-action tailgate and a built-in weatherproof trunk for added convenience. This practical design, combined with an array of standard tech, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, makes the Ridgeline both functional and modern.
However, potential buyers should be aware that the Ridgeline's towing and payload capacities may not meet the needs of those looking for heavy-duty capabilities, as it can tow a maximum of 5,000 pounds and carry up to 1,583 pounds. Overall, the Ridgeline is an excellent choice for those seeking a versatile vehicle that excels in daily driving and weekend adventures, albeit with some limitations in specific rugged capabilities.

The ridgeline drives amazing as I expected, didn’t disappoint for a truck at all unlike the Tocoma which is way overrated and overpriced price.

This is a great design for someone who needs a truck but not a 1/2 ton pickup. I am very happy with the way it drives and the technology that is included. I haven’t towed anything with it yet but I am confident that it will do what I need. I bought the RTL model because it had leather interior and a Sirius radio. II guess the most direct comparison will be the Hyundai Santa Cruz or the Ford Marverick. However it is more capable in many woes over those two models.

2021 Ridgeline RTL-E - Loaded with great features and very comfortable to drive. Great visibility. Lots of cargo space. Drives like a big car. Great for winter driving with AWD. This is my second Ridgeline. Drove a 2013 for 10 years. Loved it. Loving this one too. Perfect for someone who wants a truck but doesnt need the size of something like a F250.
