How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban cost?

Prices have softened 16.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,654 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, smooth ride, and towing capability, and those strengths line up well with its role as a full-size SUV for family duty, cargo hauling, and trailer work. The main tradeoffs are fuel economy and some electronics concerns, but if you want a large, practical SUV with broad everyday usefulness, this model year fits that brief well. With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable for spacious family use and towing, with long-haul usefulness being a recurring strength. At the same time, some owners mention electronics concerns, so you should pay close attention to how the cabin tech and controls behave during a test drive. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is not the core SUV formula itself, but the possibility of repair headaches tied to equipment and condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Suburban?

At 67.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention on body condition, panel alignment, and any signs of past repairs. Because this is a large, heavily used SUV, you should also focus on how well the interior, electronics, and drivetrain have held up under family and towing use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Suburban?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,654 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,970, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban's resale value?

The current average of $25,970 sits slightly below last year's $31,134.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward from prior levels. If you plan to resell later, the key will be buying a clean, well-kept example so you have less depreciation left to absorb. Strong condition and documented maintenance matter even more when the broader market has already moved lower.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Suburban or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,402, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,970 average.
• It adds a new turbodiesel powertrain for better fuel economy.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and plenty of inventory. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer model’s added efficiency option, the 2021 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize that upgrade over upfront savings.
