CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Toyota Sienna

Summary
With 81 currently listed for sale near Atlanta, GA and an average price of $22,317.00, 17.3% of 2019 Toyota Siennas for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Toyota Sienna 5 / 5 stars.
98.8% of 2019 Sienna models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2019 Toyota Sienna stands out as a family-focused minivan that emphasizes space, comfort, and everyday usefulness. Toyota’s buying guide describes the Sienna as safe and versatile transportation, with three rows of seats, plenty of room for passengers, and a low-load floor that makes the cabin especially practical when the second and third rows are removed. It also notes that the Sienna can swallow 4'x8' sheets of plywood or sheetrock, a reminder that this is a minivan built to handle real cargo as well as people.
What makes the 2019 model especially appealing is the way Toyota had already made the Sienna one of the more efficient choices in the segment by the time this generation arrived. The guide says the new Sienna was introduced for the 2021 model year with all-new styling and an all-hybrid lineup, so those details do not apply here; for 2019, the relevant takeaway is the third-generation Sienna’s long-running reputation for practicality and reliability. The guide also points to the Sienna’s strong value proposition on the used market, with plenty of examples available across a wide range of budgets.
There are tradeoffs, though. The buying guide says the Sienna is “not particularly cool,” and it also warns that power sliding doors can cause headaches and expensive repairs. Even so, the 2019 Toyota Sienna remains distinctive because it delivers the core minivan virtues buyers want most: generous passenger space, flexible seating, and a reputation for dependable family transportation.

Love this van! It has all the features that we were looking for in a minivan that was also featured packed. Heated steering wheel and seats, Apple CarPlay, seat and mirror setting memory, Bluray Player, and the brown leather interior is beautiful!

The sienna SE drives like no other car i have driven. Powerful slick and huggs the road. It is an amazing car. The room in the back and luxury is top notch. So happy in one day. Noticed ny city is fighting for the new ev models. Rumours of $10 000 -20 000 over sticker competition. Happy to shave off plenty on new with low mileage. Get it if you can!

Yes — the 2019 Toyota Sienna earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.
Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, and spacious interior. The review summary also highlights reliability, a powerful engine, and good gas mileage, which makes it appealing if you want a family vehicle that balances everyday usability with long-haul comfort. Is the 2019 Toyota Sienna reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The review summary specifically points to reliability, and it also describes the Sienna as dependable and trouble-free in the ways that matter for family ownership. That kind of feedback matters if you plan to keep the vehicle for years and want something you can count on for daily driving, road trips, and routine hauling.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding a well-maintained example with a clean history and sound condition.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Toyota Sienna?
At 59% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with past damage. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, doors, and overall condition, since those details can reveal whether a vehicle has been repaired well or poorly. Focus on maintenance records and signs of wear that matter for a family hauler, especially if you plan to keep it for the long term.

What is the 2019 Toyota Sienna's resale value?
The current average of $24,712 sits slightly below last year's $26,250.
That softer pricing can help you buy more efficiently now, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well you preserve the vehicle. If you choose a clean, well-kept example and maintain it carefully, you give yourself a better chance of holding value when it is time to sell. Strong demand for practical family vehicles can help, but condition and history will matter a lot.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 23.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 59% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.86% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2018 if:

- It emphasizes family practicality and all-wheel-drive appeal.
Consider the 2020 if:
- At $26,816, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $24,712 average.
- It adds standard advanced safety features and all-wheel-drive exclusivity.
The bottom line:
You should start with the 2019 if you want a well-liked, value-oriented minivan with strong owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If your budget is tighter, the 2018 is the better price-first path. If you want to spend more for a newer-feeling option with added safety and capability, the 2020 is the better upgrade path.
