Is the 2019 Lexus ES a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Lexus ES earns a 4.67/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its stylish design, smooth driving experience, and luxurious features, and many also highlight the comfort of the interior and the brand’s reliability. Is the 2019 Lexus ES reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

That kind of reputation matters if you plan to keep the car for the long haul, because it suggests lower ownership stress and better confidence in daily use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Lexus ES?

At 62.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially for bodywork quality, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear or poor repairs. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since a clean, well-kept example is the safest way to buy this model year.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Lexus ES?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 714 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,792, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Lexus ES's resale value?

The current average of $27,271 sits slightly below last year's $28,194.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also temper near-term appreciation if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that value retention looks steady rather than rising sharply, so condition and mileage will matter a lot when it’s time to list the car. A well-kept example should still attract interest, especially because this model has a strong reputation with shoppers who want comfort and refinement.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Lexus ES or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $29,729, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $27,271 average.
• It adds more in-cabin tech features for a more modern feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2019 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and a favorable market trend. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model with added tech, the 2020 is the better secondary path for price-insensitive buyers.
