How much does the 2019 Ford Transit Cargo cost?

Prices have softened 5.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,910 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Ford Transit Cargo a good car?

Generally — the 2019 Ford Transit Cargo earns a 4.3/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its spacious interior, power, and reliability, and many also like its fair pricing and American manufacturing. Some shoppers also compare it favorably with the Ram Promaster. With 30.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 Ford Transit Cargo reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as reliable and a solid choice, and the feedback also points to a vehicle many buyers feel they can count on over time. That said, some owners mention issues such as a broken side door latch and limitations in the back door hinges. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable, but condition and maintenance history still matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Ford Transit Cargo?

At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records and ownership background before you commit. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of doors, latches, hinges, and other high-use cargo-area components, since those are the kinds of issues owners have flagged. Focus on overall wear, mileage, and maintenance consistency so you can separate a well-kept work van from one that has been heavily used.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Transit Cargo?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,910 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,346, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Transit Cargo's resale value?

The current average of $19,346 sits slightly below last year's $20,479.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future buyers if you plan to resell later. If you buy at a competitive price and keep the van in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit further value loss. Demand should remain supported by the model's strong owner satisfaction and practical appeal.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Transit Cargo or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $22,303, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $19,346 average.
• It adds available all-wheel drive and a more modern feature set.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if price matters most and you want a strong value play with plenty of listings to compare. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer version with more modern capability, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
