Is the 2019 Ford Taurus a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Ford Taurus earns a 5/5 user rating, and owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and strong performance. Is the 2019 Ford Taurus reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback emphasizes dependable comfort, strong performance, and a smooth ride, which are all traits that usually matter in long-term ownership. The Taurus also gets credit for feeling composed in challenging conditions, which can be reassuring if you plan to keep the car for years. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the ownership experience and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Ford Taurus?

At 57.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive or the car has incomplete service records. Focus your condition check on bodywork, alignment, interior wear, and any signs that the car may have been repaired after a collision.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Taurus?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 289 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.92% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,809, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Taurus's resale value?

The current average of $12,809 sits slightly below last year's $14,543.

That price movement suggests the Taurus has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may reduce the amount of value left to lose over your ownership period. The model’s broad appeal as a comfortable, spacious sedan can still support demand among shoppers looking for a large used car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Taurus or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of this full-size sedan and you find a clean, fairly priced example, the 2019 is the straightforward choice. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby year can still make sense, but you should compare condition, accident history, and asking price closely before deciding.
