Used 2019 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 11.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,225 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, comfort features, and family-friendly practicality. The review summary also highlights dependable ownership and a cabin that works well for passengers and cargo, which fits the Traverse’s role as a three-row SUV built around everyday usefulness.

With its roomy interior and straightforward tech, it makes the most sense if you want a practical family hauler rather than a luxury-focused or especially sporty SUV. The market also shows 31.7% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary points to dependable ownership, and it also describes the Traverse as a vehicle families can count on for space and comfort. That matters because a used three-row SUV often sees heavy daily use, so a reputation for trouble-free ownership is a meaningful plus.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the concept of the vehicle and more about how well a specific example has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Chevrolet Traverse?

At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the listing has any accident or repair history. Focus on body condition, panel alignment, tire wear, and signs of uneven use, since those details can reveal whether a vehicle has been repaired well or simply patched up.

Because this is a family SUV, also pay close attention to interior wear, cargo-area condition, and how all the convenience features operate during a test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,225 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,859, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $16,877 sits slightly below last year's $19,097.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to move a used Traverse. If you buy at the right number now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $14,693, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $16,877 average.
• It offers redesigned value with a roomy, practical cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall balance of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and market availability, the 2019 is the better default choice. If your top priority is saving money upfront, the 2018 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Traverse’s core strengths.
