How much does the 2018 Ford Taurus cost?

Prices have softened 13.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 440 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Ford Taurus a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its powerful performance, extensive features, and roomy feel, and the Taurus’s broad appeal as a large sedan makes it a practical fit if you want space and comfort with a lot of content for the money. The market also shows 28.4% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Ford Taurus reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also highlights reliability alongside the car’s strong performance and feature content, which is encouraging if you want a used sedan you can count on. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a higher-mileage example that has not been maintained as carefully as it should have been.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Ford Taurus?

At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for prior damage, uneven wear, and signs of poor repairs. Focus on overall condition rather than mileage alone, since the market includes a mix of cleaner examples and cars with incident history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Ford Taurus?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value if you compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 440 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,990, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Ford Taurus's resale value?

The current average of $11,991 sits slightly below last year's $13,940.

That price movement suggests the Taurus has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you keep the car in strong condition and avoid overpaying up front, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it comes time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Ford Taurus or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a sensible choice if you want a roomy full-size sedan with strong owner satisfaction and a market that still offers some deal potential. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2018 remains the cleaner pick when you want a balance of value, features, and buyer confidence.
