There are 1,586 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2017 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Audi Q5 earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its fun driving experience, spacious interior, and refined comfort. The blend of luxury and practicality also comes through in feedback about towing capacity and handling, making it a good fit if you want a premium midsize SUV that feels useful in everyday driving. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights the Q5 as reliable, dependable, and trouble-free enough to keep owners happy over the long term, especially when the vehicle has been maintained well. The same reviews also reinforce that many buyers feel confident counting on its blend of comfort and practicality. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that maintenance history matters a lot, so a neglected example can become expensive quickly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Audi Q5?

At 66.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you commit. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on suspension condition, sunroof operation, and signs of oil-related or timing-related issues. It also makes sense to pay close attention to overall wear, because a premium SUV like this can hide expensive repair needs if it was not maintained carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi Q5?

This is a moderate market for buyers, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,586 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,312, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $12,327 sits slightly below last year's $13,474.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter even more because buyers will compare your Q5 against plenty of similarly priced listings. A well-kept example should still hold appeal, especially if it presents cleanly and has strong documentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,474, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $12,327 average.
• It brings a full redesign with more room, newer technology, and improved refinement.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2017 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer-generation experience, the 2018 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2017 remains the more practical choice.
