You should start with a history report so you can confirm accident status, title history, and any other red flags before you get too far into the process. Focus on overall condition, signs of wear, and whether the car has been cared for consistently.

What is the 2016 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $165,979 sits slightly above last year's $146,276.

That upward move suggests the market continues to place strong value on this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A higher current average can also indicate that well-kept examples are still drawing steady interest. Because demand remains healthy, a clean, well-documented car should be easier to move than a neglected one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 13.47% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the 911’s distinctive character, strong owner satisfaction, and a year with broad appeal, the 2016 is the primary path to consider. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but you should still prioritize condition, history, and maintenance over chasing the lowest sticker price.
