Used 2016 BMW 6 Series for Sale near Maryland

How much does the 2016 BMW 6 Series cost?

Prices have softened 7.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 199 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 BMW 6 Series a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the 2016 BMW 6 Series is described as a stylish, performance-focused grand tourer with a strong mix of luxury and driving appeal. It was also noted for being very comfortable, which matters if you want something that feels special on longer drives rather than just another luxury sedan. The tradeoff is that practicality is limited, especially with a snug back seat, so it fits you best if style, exclusivity, and driving enjoyment matter more than everyday utility. With 35.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 BMW 6 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 BMW 6 Series is described as having thin reliability and service data overall, but the 640i models are generally regarded as the most trouble-free of the bunch, while the M6 is the most high-strung. That means you should expect ownership to reward careful maintenance and a smart trim choice. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is higher repair and upkeep exposure if the car has been neglected or if you choose a more demanding version.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 BMW 6 Series?

At 51.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you get serious about any listing, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a shop that knows luxury performance cars. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and evidence of careful ownership, since this model is expensive to maintain and can be costly if deferred service is hiding underneath a shiny presentation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 BMW 6 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 199 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.18% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,094, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 BMW 6 Series's resale value?

The current average of $19,768 sits slightly below last year's $21,297.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some of its depreciation, which can help if you buy at the right number and later resell into a stable niche of shoppers. Because the 6 Series is a style-driven grand tourer with a distinct identity, demand tends to come from buyers who know exactly what they want rather than from the broadest possible audience. If you keep the car well maintained and choose a desirable configuration, you can improve your odds of holding value better than a neglected example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 BMW 6 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want the updated tech, the strong comfort-and-performance balance, and a market that has softened enough to create some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 remains the better fit when you want the refreshed equipment and a still-appealing used price.
