What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Camry?

At 46.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or visible cosmetic wear. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, tire wear, brake feel, and any warning lights or electronic glitches. If you’re comparing multiple listings, condition should matter as much as trim and price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE starts with cloth upholstery, 16-inch steel wheels with plastic wheel covers, and a basic feature set, while the SE adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, upgraded sport fabric with SofTex leatherette bolsters, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters. The XSE adds LED running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear air vents, heated front seats, and upgraded infotainment, while the XLE swaps in a softer ride, full leather upholstery, and fake wood interior trim.
• Powertrain: A 3.5-liter V6 is available on the XSE and XLE, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters. The performance notes emphasize strong acceleration, but also say the car is not a sport sedan and can feel less engaging on twisty roads.
• Safety package: Toyota’s Safety Connect service is reserved for the XLE. The available Advanced Technology package adds lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision warning and braking, and automatic high-beam headlight control. Blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic alert are also noted on the test vehicle.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen with USB 2.0, while higher trims can upgrade to a 7-inch screen with advanced voice recognition, HD Radio, HD predictive traffic, Doppler weather radar overlay display, cache radio, and Entune App Suite. Qi wireless smartphone charging is also available.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 test vehicle returned 22.9 mpg in mixed driving, and the source notes that the EPA suggested 25 mpg.

Which 2015 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XSE, XLE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the essentials at the lowest price. It makes sense if you want the Camry’s core comfort, reliability, and value without paying for extra styling or tech.
• SE: This is the best-value trim if you want a more engaging feel and a nicer cabin than the LE. You get the sport-tuned suspension, upgraded trim details, and paddle shifters, which make it the most balanced choice for many shoppers.
• XSE: This is the right pick if you want the sportier appearance and more upscale equipment, including LED running lights, larger wheels, dual-zone climate control, rear air vents, and upgraded infotainment.
• XLE: This is the comfort-focused choice, with a softer ride, leather upholstery, and the most premium-feeling interior treatment. It also gets the Safety Connect service.

The XLE is the only trim with Safety Connect, and the available Advanced Technology package adds several driver-assistance features.

What is the 2015 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $13,078 sits slightly above last year's $12,697.

That upward move suggests the market still sees value in this model year, which can help support resale strength if you buy well and keep the car in good condition. The year-round range also shows that pricing has stayed fairly tight, so a clean, well-maintained example should remain easier to move later than a neglected one. Strong demand for dependable family sedans tends to favor cars with this kind of reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 46.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.00% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 adds more style, a better interior, and expanded infotainment and safety tech.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,851, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $13,078 average.
• It’s a sensible, affordable, and safe daily driver.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,702, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,078 average.
• It’s a competent hybrid with strong space and calm daily-driving manners.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, features, and broad appeal, the 2015 is the strongest middle ground. If your priority is saving money, the 2014 is the better value play; if you want a newer hybrid-oriented setup, the 2016 is worth a look.

How does the 2015 Toyota Camry compare to the 2015 Honda Accord?

Our experts score the 2015 Toyota Camry 8.2/10 and the 2015 Honda Accord 8.2/10.
